MINOT - Police here arrested more than 60 people after breaking up a party involving underage drinking on Sunday.
Officers responded at 1:42 a.m. to a report of a loud party and observed people who appeared to be under 21 drinking alcohol, the Minot Police Department stated in a news release.
No one would answer the door at the residence, so police obtained a search warrant, which led to the arrest of 64 minors – 27 juveniles and 13 adults, the release stated. Six of the adults were taken to the Ward County Jail for detoxification.
The bust resulted in 71 charges, including unlawful consumption of alcohol and disorderly conduct. The 17-year-old girl who hosted the party faces those two charges, the release stated.
