Louise M. Hanson was born on Aug. 15, 1942, in Velva, the daughter of Orville and Inez (Smith) Hanson. At the age of 3, she moved with her family to Turtle Lake where she graduated from high school.
She married David Dean Dockter on June 25, 1961, and they made their home on the Dockter family farm in McClusky. In the fall of 1966, they moved to Hurdsfield where David worked on the Weckerly ranch. In the spring of 1970, they moved back to the family farm where they farmed together until 1989, when they moved to Mandan.
Louise was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to attend her grandchildren's school activities and sporting events. Weezie always made sure any time she had with her children and grandchildren was special. Known for her contagious laugh, she found great pleasure in playing cards with family and friends, watching game shows, as well as expressing her views after viewing the Dr. Phil Show. Dogs played an important part in her life and even though she was a "city girl" when she married, she loved farm life.
Louise is survived by her husband of 45 years, David, Mandan; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Daren Klingenstein, New Salem; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Kim, Dickinson, and Terry and Dawn, Mandan; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Timarra Klingenstein, Chrissy and Len Brabandt, Katelyn Dockter and Joe and Jesse Heck; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene and Robert Bailey, Carrington; Edith and Jim White, Turtle Lake; one sister-in-law, Sally Hanson, Bismarck; numerous nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many friends who loved and adored her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Karl Hanson; and her grandson, Michael Dockter.
