Mercer County filed charges against Jonathan Voss Wednesday for allegedly neglecting a herd of cattle.
Mercer and Dunn Counties seized about 127 cattle last month after law enforcement discovered the animals in extremely poor conditions.
Voss faces seven charges. Five counts are for allegedly depriving the cattle of food, water or shelter, according to a criminal complaint filed in the South Central Judicial District at the Mercer County Courthouse. Two charges allege Voss permitted the cattle to "run at large," and enter land that did not belong to Voss.
All the charges are misdemeanors. The Press was unable to contact Voss.
