Man accused of sending photos during sex to ex-girlfriend’s family, friends

WOODBURY, Minn. -- A rendezvous at Red Roof Inn in Woodbury led to a St. Paul man sexting selfies during intercourse, allegedly threatening his ex-girlfriend with a beer bottle, and getting charged with felony domestic assault.

WOODBURY, Minn. -- A rendezvous at Red Roof Inn in Woodbury led to a St. Paul man sexting selfies during intercourse, allegedly threatening his ex-girlfriend with a beer bottle, and getting charged with felony domestic assault.

Sean McNerthney, 30, is scheduled to appear in Washington County District Court  this month.

According to the complaint,  McNerthney invited an ex-girlfriend to meet, talk about fixing her car, and work on their relationship on Nov. 7.. They had dinner and then walked back to the Red Roof Inn.

While having sex, McNerthney took pictures of his ex-girlfriend unbeknownst to her, said the complaint.. Later she learned that he had sent the naked photos to other people, including her family and friends.

After sex, McNerthney asked her how she was getting to work. He didn't like her answer, called her names, pushed her and held a beer bottle over her in a threatening manner, said the complaint..

At least two domestic violence-related convictions are on McNerthney's record in the past 10 years-two violations of orders for protection in 2006, in regard to incidents that occurred in 2005 in Ramsey County.
