GRAND FORKS -- A Grand Forks man was arrested twice this morning for driving under the influence.
The Grand Forks Police Department said Carl Walter Schempp, 56, was first booked for DUI at 12:03 a.m. After posting bond and being released, he was pulled over again for driving while drunk and booked at 4:51 a.m., less than five hours after the first arrest.
No other details were immediately available regarding the arrests, including Schempp's blood alcohol content, how he got to a vehicle to drive a second time or why he chose to do so, but the Grand Forks County Correctional Center said he again posted bond after the second arrest and was released from custody.
