RUGBY - A Balta man has died in a rollover crash near Rugby, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said Friday.
The 64-year-old driver of a 1997 Jeep Cherokee was southbound at 11:58 a.m. Friday on N.D. Highway 3 about 10 miles south of Rugby when the vehicle drifted into the west ditch, struck an approach and rolled end over end, according to a news release. The vehicle came to rest in the ditch.
The man was not ejected from his vehicle, but he was not wearing a seat belt, according to the release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials will release the man's name after notifying family.
