FARGO (AP) -- An Alabama man was ticketed $20 after driving through fresh concrete on Interstate 94 in Fargo.
Authorities say they will try to recover the cost of replacing the concrete from the man's insurance company. Damage was estimated at more than $100,000.
Authorities say the man drove a pickup truck towing a trailer through the freshly paved section late Wednesday, leaving ruts up to 3 inches deep in the fifth-of-a-mile stretch.
Troopers caught up with the man at a truck stop. The patrol says 62-year-old Jadick Vladimir, of Theodore, Ala., told troopers he had become confused in the construction zone and thought he was exiting the interstate.
