Man gets 33 months for killing Rapid City resident

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- The driver in a fatal 2007 crash in Buffalo County will serve 33 months in federal prison for causing an accident that killed a Rapid City man.

Erick Voice Jr. of Fort Thompson was driving an SUV that ran off a highway and rolled several times near Fort Thompson on the Crow Creek Indian Reservation.

The Sept. 27, 2007 accident killed Zane Azure of Rapid City.

Both men were thrown from the vehicle.

Voice pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in federal court in Pierre. Besides the 33-month prison sentence, he'll be on supervised release for two years.
