EDMORE (AP) -- Authorities say a man riding an all-terrain vehicle in Ramsey County suffered minor injuries to his leg when he came across an illegal homemade predator control device in the Edmore area.
Ramsey County Sheriff Steve Nelson says the device is known as a "coyote stick." It is a pipe with an ammunition charge inside that fires when a predator grabs an attached piece of bait.
Nelson says the ATV rider did not know what he had found Wednesday night and was injured when he picked up the device.
