STANLEY, N.D. – A Powers Lake man who pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in the death of his brother was sentenced Monday to two years in prison.
Aaron Ray Larson was charged in September 2015 after the Mountrail County Sheriff’s Office discovered the body of Larson’s brother, Terry Larson, in a camper. Aaron Larson told authorities the brothers got into a fight inside the camper that led to Terry Larson getting shot, court records say.
Larson was sentenced to two years in prison, with credit for serving about a year. He also was sentenced to three years of probation.
