Officers are investigating a shooting incident over the weekend that left a Dickinson man wounded.
The victim, 52, and his friend, 39, also from Dickinson, were “fooling around with a handgun” when the gun went off, Dickinson Police Capt. David Wilkie said.
The two men, whose names are not being released while the investigation continues, said they were practicing disarming each other:
One would point the gun at the other, who would take it away. The shooting was, presumably, not part of the game.
