NEW YORK -- Ronda Rousey, a former champion mixed martial arts fighter with family roots in North Dakota, will host NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.
Ronda, her two older sisters and dad Ron lived in Jamestown in the early 1990s with her mom, professor Ann-Marie Rousey, when she was teaching in the psychology department at what was then Jamestown College.
Ronda Rousey was the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight champion. until she lost the title in November to Holly Holm.
Rousey fights out of California, where her family moved after leaving Jamestown.
