WATFORD CITY -- McKenzie County is hosting a “Veterans StandDown” until 7 p.m. today at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Watford City.
The event is aimed especially at veterans that are new to the area, McKenzie County Veterans Service Coordinator Jerry Samuelson said.
The event will have giveaways of food and military surplus, he said. It’s the first event of its kind for the county.
Veterans can also sign up for Veterans Affairs and be screened for Agent Orange at the event.
