MEDORA-The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is hosting a series of events in Medora on Sunday to honor the nation's veterans.

The annual Veteran's Day in Medora celebration will culminate with a flyover by three World War II firefighter aircrafts.

Fargo-based pilot Toby McPherson will navigate a P-51D Mustang "Boomer"and the world-famous Texas Flying Legends Museum will fly overhead in s P-51 Mustang "Dakota Kid" and Navy Wildcat. There will be a flag retirement ceremony along with a social hour and free Medora Musical tickets for veterans.

More than 2,100 people attended the special Veteran's Day in Medora in 2015, making it one of the most attended Sunday performances of the Medora Musical of the record year. More than 450 of those were veterans.

Medora officials encourage veterans and active military personnel to indicate their military status when making their reservations.

Active duty military personnel receive 50 percent off for themselves and immediate family members at the Medora Musical on Sunday and for the rest of the Medora Musical season.
