BISMARCK -- Lynn Messer made four 3-pointers and Brie Lynch had two from downtown to help Dickinson High cruise to a win over Bismarck St. Mary's.
Messer scored 16 points and Lynch had 10 off the bench as the Midgets secured a 65-39 West Region girls basketball victory.
"We shot the ball really well from the perimeter," Midgets coach Greg Jung said. "... It's definitely a step in the right direction."
Whitley Abrahamson added 10 points while Brigette Uttech had nine and Shaunda Dvorak had eight for Dickinson, which improved to 8-9 overall and 7-8 in the West.
"We played really well offensively and defensively," Jung said. "It was nice to see balanced scoring from a lot of different girls."
