MILES CITY, Mont. -- Jake Bauer scored 13 points to lead four Dickinson High boys basketball players who scored in double figures on Saturday night against Custer County.
Taylor Bruhschwein and Joe Hanstad each had 12 points and Tyler Steffan notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to give the Midgets a 71-26 victory.
"The biggest thing for us is that defensively I thought we were really good," said Dickinson coach Dean Winczewski said.
Dickinson had a 34-14 lead by halftime, forced 39 turnovers, had 12 steals and sat its starters the final 11 minutes of the game.
"It was nice to come out and play pretty well overall," Winczewski said.

The Midgets are off to a 2-0 start to the season and host Williston (2-0) at 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
J.T. Keith led the Cowboys with 14 points.
Bauer hit three 3-pointers for the Midgets and Bruhschwein added two.
The senior guard duo are two of the state's top long-distance shooters.
