Minot area knife-wielding robber still on the loose

MINOT -- Minot police are chasing down leads and tips on a man armed with a knife that is a suspect in a series of robberies in Minot and Surrey in the past week, according to investigations commander John Klug.

MINOT -- Minot police are chasing down leads and tips on a man armed with a knife that is a suspect in a series of robberies in Minot and Surrey in the past week, according to investigations commander John Klug.

The latest of the robberies was at the Holiday Inn Riverside at 12:45 a.m. Saturday.  In that robbery, the suspect entered the hotel, hopped over the front desk and demanded money from the desk clerk.

He was armed with a knife, as was the man in the other robberies, as well as wearing dark clothing with a red sweater wrapped around his face, Klug said.
