Saturday's gloomy weather turned into dreary results for the Dickinson High girls golf team.
The Midgets finished second at the Minot Invite at Souris Valley Golf Course. Minot won its own meet with a score of 334. DHS carded a 338 for second place.
It was also the first time this season that DHS golfer Chivas Beaudoin didn't finish as the medalist.
Beaudoin, who was the medalist at the Class A state meet last season, finished as the runner-up with a score of 79. Shantel Montgomery of MHS was the medalist with a 75.
"The weather doesn't affect Chivas too much," DHS head coach Olivia Wellenstein said. "She was just off today. She was short on chipping and the greens were fast. She was not hitting through the ball."

The Midgets golfed without two of their top six golfers. Whitney Wellenstein and Chelsea Galipeau did not make the trip.
Kailin Dunn (83), Shaynna Mann (86) and Jenna Wellenstein (90) picked up the slack. Jenna Wellenstein shot five strokes below her average of 95.
"We missed a lot of short putts," coach Wellenstein said. "We missed the greens a lot and we had a lot of long putts."
The Midgets compete Friday at the WDA meet in Bismarck. Start time is 10 a.m. The West Region meet will be held Saturday in Bismarck at 8:30 a.m.
