MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) -- Authorities say a 14-year-old boy accused of starting a wildlands fire near Missoula has been charged with negligent arson.

The fire was started late Tuesday afternoon and took firefighters with the aid of a helicopter about an hour to bring under control.

The grass fire burned only about two acres but destroyed three unoccupied storage trailers.

The charge is a misdemeanor, and the case is being handled in youth court.
