Moorhead man accused of bomb threat against hospital
FARGO - An arrest warrant has been issued for a Moorhead, Minn., man accused of calling in a bomb threat against Sanford Hospital on Friday.
Charging documents filed Monday against Peter Jonathan Rovang, 53, in Cass County District Court state Rovang was upset over a fight he had been in last week with Sanford security officers.
The documents state Rovang called the hospital and demanded the names of the security officers, and got angry when the operator refused to give him their names.
Rovang allegedly told the operator he would “blow the place up” if he didn’t get what he wanted.
Then, when his call was transferred to a patient representative, Rovang allegedly threatened to blow up the hospital if he didn’t get their names by 8 the next morning.
Rovang later admitted to a Fargo police detective that he had made the threats because he was frustrated over the fight, authorities say.
No court date has been set.
