N.D. Guard members training for Kosovo

BISMARCK (AP) -- The North Dakota National Guard says soldiers headed for Kosovo have finished their first phase of training in Indiana and are heading to Germany.

BISMARCK (AP) -- The North Dakota National Guard says soldiers headed for Kosovo have finished their first phase of training in Indiana and are heading to Germany.

The Guard says the soldiers spent about a month at Camp Atterbury, Ind. They have been preparing to deploy to Kosovo as part of a peacekeeping mission.

The Guard members will finish their training in Germany.

The Guard says the North Dakota group of about 650 is among soldiers from 13 states and the Virgin Islands.
