BISMARCK - More than 12,000 North Dakota voters have cast their ballots early for the Nov. 8 general election, according Secretary of State Al Jaeger.
A tally of absentee and vote-by-mail ballots is available on the Secretary of State Office’s website.
By Thursday afternoon, Oct. 13, there were 5,648 absentee ballots returned, or 29.3 percent of the 19,283 sent out to voters.
In addition, 6,597 of the 29,427 vote-by-mail ballots, or 16.7 percent, have been returned.
Combined, 21 percent of the nearly 59,000 early ballots have been returned.
