GRAND FORKS (AP) -- About 75 North Dakota National Guard soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan are being formally honored this weekend.
The "Freedom Salute" ceremony for members of the 188th Air Defense Artillery Regiment is 3 p.m. Sunday at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. Gov. Jack Dalrymple and Guard commander Dave Sprynczynatyk are scheduled to speak.
The soldiers deployed in three groups in November 2009 and returned home a year later.
