Highway 57 south of Devils Lake from the Junction of ND 20 to Fort Totten will be temporarily closed at 4 p.m. today until further notice because of poor condition, according to a North Dakota Department of Transportation news release.
Strong winds are creating waves which are washing over the road and leaving debris, creating hazardous travel conditions.
As temperatures drop overnight, the water on the roadw may freeze and create icy conditions. The condition of the road will be evaluated tomorrow morning.
