DEVILS LAKE, N.D. - A Devils Lake man charged in the death of a Viking, Minn., man earlier this month is fighting extradition from North Dakota.
In a court hearing Monday, Ray Littlewolf Jr., 25, of Devils Lake, refused to be returned voluntarily to Minnesota.
Ramsey County District Judge Donovan Foughty set the cash bond at $1 million for Littlewolf, who is incarcerated at the Lake Region Law Enforcement Center jail in Devils Lake.
Littlewolf told the court Monday he wanted to consult with an attorney and would not waive extradition to Minnesota. He is charged with murder in connection with the death of Ronald Dale Foss, 64, whose body was found beaten and stabbed to death March 17 at his rural Viking home.
