FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- A North Dakota man has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison on a sexual abuse charge.
Gary Feather Jr., of Tokio, pleaded guilty earlier to sexual assaulting an adult woman when she was unconscious and physically incapable of giving her consent.
The incident took place in August 2008 while the 35-year-old Feather was spending the night at the home of some friends on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.
U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson sentenced Feather to 97 months in prison.
