North Dakotans may be entitled to almost $2.6 million in tax returns.
More than 1.1 million people in the U.S. who did not file a federal income tax return in 2011 are entitled to approximately $1 billion, or a median of $698 each, the Internal Revenue Service announced in a news release on Wednesday. Residents have until April 15 to submit their tax returns.
About 2,600 people who did not have a federal income tax return are owed a median of $761 from the IRS.
