NEW TOWN -- A 24-year-old New Town man died and his passenger was injured in a rollover crash early Sunday morning, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported.
Christopher Westbrook was traveling north on Highway 1804 about seven miles northwest of New Town in a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am at 1:45 a.m. when the vehicle left the road and rolled in the east ditch an unknown number of times.
Westbrook was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, getting pinned underneath. He died at the scene.
Kyle Pillsbury, a 26-year-old passenger from Portland, Ore., was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to Trinity Hospital in Minot after suffering incapacitating injuries.
