No travel advisory issued for NW part of North Dakota

The North Dakota Department of Transportation issued a no travel advisory at 9:05 this morning for Williston, Watford City and surrounding areas due to areas of zero visibility due to blowing and drifting snow.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation issued a no travel advisory at 9:05 this morning for Williston, Watford City and surrounding areas due to areas of zero visibility due to blowing and drifting snow.

Motorists should be advised that areas of scattered slush on the road are turning into ice, and blowing and drifting snow is making travel difficult.

The DOT issued a travel alert for the remainder of the northwest portion of North Dakota. Conditions are such that motorists can still travel, but are advised that areas of scattered ice and reduced visibility may be encountered.

Cities affected by the alert include: Crosby, Bowbells, Tioga, Stanley, New Town and surrounding areas.
