BISMARCK (AP) -- Yellow toadflax is officially a noxious weed in North Dakota.

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring also has removed field bindweed and yellow starthistle from the noxious weeds list.

Noxious weeds are those that are required by law to be controlled. The Legislature last year mandated a review of the state's list.

Goehring says yellow starthistle has virtually disappeared from North Dakota, and field bindweed is more of a nuisance than a noxious weed. But he says yellow toadflax infestations are increasing.
