FARGO — Forum Communications Co. and the League of Women Voters of North Dakota and Minnesota are teaming up to provide an online voter guide for elections in 2022.
The guide, which can be found at wv.thevoterguide.org/v/ForumCommunicationsCompany22/build.do , provides information about every race in North Dakota's June 14 primary election.
Later this summer, the guide will offer the same type of information for Minnesota's Aug. 9 primary election.
The guide is designed to help voters decide how they would like to fill out their ballot prior to doing their official voting. Visitors to the site can fill out a sample ballot and then print it out or email it to themselves before leaving the site. They can use the sample ballot as a guide when filling out their actual ballot.
The online guide also provides information about candidates running for office, who were given the opportunity to provide answers to questions designed to elicit their views on issues.

Currently, North Dakota voters who visit the website can enter their address and see a list of candidates that will appear on their ballot for the June 14 primary and local election.
In the primary election, when it comes to partisan contests, a voter may only vote in one party's primary, meaning they must remain within that party's column on the ballot.
All federal races and most statewide races are designated by party on the ballot. In such races, the top vote-getters in the primary move on to the Nov. 8 general election to represent their party.
Countywide races are nonpartisan, and voters are able to choose one candidate per open seat in the primary election. The top two vote-getters per open seat in the primary move on to the November general election.
For citywide candidates, the June election is the last stop; whichever candidate wins will take their place in that elected office.
Citywide races include city commission or council, mayor, park board and municipal judge.
Information about Minnesota's August primary will be added as that election nears, said Whitney Oxendahl, VOTE411 coordinator for the League of Women Voters of North Dakota.
Once the primary elections have concluded, the voter guide will be taken offline for a period of time and later reactivated with ballot information for the Nov. 8 general election.
