Minot man arrested after 2 injured in bar shooting

MINOT — A Minot man is in jail following a shooting early Saturday, Feb. 4, at a Minot bar.

Theophris Drake, 39, was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and terrorizing, all felonies, according to a release from the Minot Police Department.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, Minot police responded to a report of a shooting at the Dakota Lounge, 1525 31st Ave. SW. Drake was arrested at the scene, and two victims were taken to a hospital for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, the release said.

Information about what led up to the shooting was not available Saturday.

Drake is being held in the Ward County Jail.
