WILLISTON — A 26-year-old Williston woman suffered life-threatening injuries after she fell from a moving vehicle Friday, July 1.
A Ford F-350 pickup was westbound on 58th Street West near the intersection with 15th Avenue West in Williston when the passenger, Aprille Poitra, opened the door and fell from the vehicle, according to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The driver, 24-year-old Logan McVey, of Williston, applied the brakes, the release said, and the pickup struck the woman with the rear passenger side tire.
The woman was taken to CHI St. Alexius Health in Williston before being flown to Trinity Health in Minot with serious, life-threatening injuries, the release said.
Charges against the driver are pending, according to the release. It's unclear what led to the passenger opening the door.
