Teen killed in rollover crash in northern North Dakota
An 18-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash one mile north of Bottineau at 8:43 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.
BOTTINEAU, N.D. — An 18-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash one mile north of here at 8:43 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.
The teen was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup southbound on 11th Avenue Northeast when the vehicle left the gravel roadway and overcorrected. The pickup rolled and the teen was ejected, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Her name is being withheld until family is notified. The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Bottineau, a city of 2,200 people, is 10 miles south of the Canadian border in central North Dakota.
