MINTO, N.D. — A Walsh County man is facing charges for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of construction equipment.

Daniel Slominski, 58, of Minto is charged in Walsh County Court with two counts of felony theft of property for stealing a road grader that belonged to Peterson Contractors, Inc. off Interstate 29 in Iowa sometime between April 9 and the 15th.

A witness saw Slominski park the road grader behind his residence in Minto with Peterson Contractors, Inc. stickers and decals on the side, which they saw were later removed.

Peterson Contractors, Inc. told police that the road grader's GPS had been disabled after it went missing.

The company determined the road grader was its property after being shown photographs of the machine by police.
