ST. PARIS, Ohio (AP) -- The state fire marshal's office says four children have been killed in a mobile home fire in western Ohio.

State Fire Marshal's spokesman Shane Cartmill says firefighters responded to a heavy blaze in a mobile home park in St. Paris early Saturday. He says all four children were under age 12, but their names and ages have not been confirmed.

Cartmill says two adults and a baby escaped through a window, and at least one was injured.

Officials do not know if the people in the home were related. Cartmill says the home had a fire detector, but it wasn't functioning.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
