Officials name man in fatal semi rollover

BOWMAN - A Bowman man that died Friday morning in a semi truck has been identified
Norman David Miles Bruce, 38, was driving a 2006 Kenworth east on 88th Street Southwest near 167th Avenue Southwest at about 6 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The vehicle went off the roadway and crossed an approach.
It appears Bruce attempted to drive back on the roadway, but the vehicle rolled and came to rest in the south ditch on the driver’s side. He was declared dead at the scene.
It is unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt. The semi was totaled, and the crash is under investigation.
