Parents charged with child neglect after their baby was found in a crowded trailer near drug paraphernalia, a revolver and knives waived their preliminary hearing Monday at Stark County Courthouse.
Katherine Rapp, 22, and Harley Rapp, 24, appeared separately, with their own lawyers. But court documents list them as co-defendants facing C felonies abuse or neglect of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Rapps’ baby, born in 2012, was found in the trailer "within the reach" of drug paraphernalia, a loaded revolver and several knives, investigator Chris Coates alleged in a complaint. The child, who tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine, slept in the trailer’s bathroom, which had the sink and toilet removed from it, Coates wrote.

The Rapps also face drug paraphernalia charges for allegedly possessing glass smoking devices with traces of methamphetamine on them.
Both pleaded not guilty to their charges.
