HAZEN -- An Underwood woman was killed in a two-car crash on Sunday morning near Hazen.

Maj. Mark Schmitt of the McLean County Sheriff's Department said a pickup collided with an SUV near Hazen Bay at 9:48 a.m. The pickup missed the stop sign while headed south on County Road 27 and struck the driver's side of the SUV. Both vehicles entered the south ditch.

Audrey Zietz, 54, of Underwood, who was the passenger in the SUV, was ejected from the vehicle, Schmitt said. Zietz was taken to the Hazen hospital and airlifted to Bismarck, where she died.

The driver and passenger of the pickup, who are from Montana, and the driver of the SUV were treated at the Hazen hospital and released.

No alcohol or drugs are believed to be involved, Schmitt said.
