A 63-year-old Hazen man was killed at about 11:20 a.m. Thursday, after running into the back of a semi on his motorcycle, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reports.
Darrell Rathjen hit the semi, which was stopped on Highway 8 waiting to make a left turn, and the motorcycle came to a rest next to the semi's right rear tires, according to the report.
Rathjen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi driver, Lynn Selle, 59, of Halliday was not injured.
The crash occurred about a mile and a half south of Halliday in Dunn County.
