Pender takes fifth at Hawktree

MANDAN -- Dickinson High sophomore Chandler Pender carded a 75 as the Midgets finished in fifth place at the Bismarck St. Mary's Invitational at Hawktree Golf Course on Thursday.

MANDAN -- Dickinson High sophomore Chandler Pender carded a 75 as the Midgets finished in fifth place at the Bismarck St. Mary's Invitational at Hawktree Golf Course on Thursday.

Pender's score gave him a tie for fourth place and was three strokes behind medalist Kavin Dvorak of Bismarck Century.

Bismarck High won the meet after shooting a 300. Minot High (313), Century (318) and St. Mary's (322) took the next three spots as Dickinson's 333 kept them in the top five.

Senior Jake Bauer shot an 85, and Cole Baker and Jarl Abrahamson both came in with 87s. John Hanstad finished with a 91 and John O'Brien a 92.
