A traffic stop on a vehicle after a call for service around 11:45 p.m. Monday led to the arrest of two Mandan residents for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver. A police search dog helped find a bag with 35.9 grams of crystal inside the vehicle’s center console, which were tested and revealed to be meth. Kitchen fire displaces family of four The Dickinson Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire at a residence on the 1300 block of Second Avenue East around 1:45 p.m. Friday. The cooking fire in the home’s kitchen caused extensive damage to the kitchen, and smoke and water damage to the main floor. The fire led a family of four to be displaced. Two of the family members were in the home during the fire. The Red Cross has been assisting the family. Twenty-three firefighters responded with four apparatuses. A Dickinson man reported the theft of two motorcycles, each valued at $7,000, from his residence on the 300 block of South Main Street on Friday morning. The motorcycles are a 2007 Z1000 Kawasaki and a 2009 Yamaha, both of which are black. A 33-year-old Dickinson man was cited for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, and arrested on two Stark County warrants on the 800 block of Second Street West at 12:30 a.m. Friday after police stopped him because he was riding a bicycle without a headlight. A 34-year-old Dickinson man arrested for possession of marijuana and methamphetamine, both misdemeanors, on the 20 block of Fifth Street West during a parole and probation search on Friday morning. A toolbox with tools in it, valued at $1,000, was reported stolen from the back end of a pickup truck parked at the Red Roof Inn sometime between May 26 and 27. Westlie Truck Center reported Friday afternoon that about 50 gallons of water had been poured into the fuel tank of a truck on their property. There are no suspects. A Dickinson man reported that he found several bullet holes in his car on the 900 block of Sims around 4 p.m. Friday. Police found bullet fragments in the car, which suffered an estimated $1,000 in damages. A 48-year-old Dickinson man was arrested on a Stark County warrant on the 1000 block on Meadows Drive after calling police to report suspicious activity around 7 p.m. Friday. A 47-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both of Dickinson, were each arrested on huffing charges, a Class B misdemeanor, after officers spotted them on the side of Eighth Avenue West around 10 p.m. Friday. The woman was crying hysterically because she thought the man, who was lying on his side and was unresponsive, was dead. Eventually the man came to and both admitted that they had been huffing. An 18-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for driving under suspension and minor in possession around 11:50 p.m. Friday on South Main Street. A 24-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for driving under the influence shortly after midnight Saturday on the 1400 block Villard Street West. A 21-year-old Dickinson woman was arrested for simple assault, domestic violence around 6:40 a.m. Saturday on the 20 block of South Main Street after she allegedly struck her female roommate in the face with a purse, causing her to bleed. A Dickinson resident reported vandalism to two vehicles around 10:15 a.m. Saturday on the 60 block of 11th Avenue West. The rear window of a Dodge Durango was broken, with an estimated $500 in damages, and the front window and front passenger window were broken out of a Subaru Baja, causing an estimated $300 in damages. Police have a suspect and charges have been forwarded to the Stark County state’s attorney. A 24-year-old Dickinson man was arrested at 7 p.m. Saturday on the 800 block of Bab Drive after reportedly attempting to destroy the inside of his father’s house with a large knife. He was arrested by Stark County Sheriff’s deputies for violating the 24/7 program. A 57-year-old Iron River, Mich., man was arrested for refusal to submit to a chemical test during a traffic stop around 11:10 p.m. Saturday on the 1100 block of Third Avenue West. A 28-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for driving under the influence at 11:30 p.m. Saturday on the 600 block of 12th Street West. A 31-year-old Gladstone man was arrested for driving under the influence at 1 a.m. Sunday on the corner of Sims and Foster Drive. A Dickinson resident reported a lost or stolen Samsung Galaxy smartphone valued at $500 at a residence on the 100 block of Second Avenue East. A 41-year-old Bismarck woman was injured after being thrown from a motorcycle while she was being taught how to drive it near the corner of Empire Street and State Avenue around 9:20 a.m. Sunday. A Dickinson woman reported the theft of multiple items from her home and vehicle at 3:35 p.m. Sunday on the 20 block of South Main Street. The items included a black LG 7-inch tablet, a necklace with a small diamond, a class ring with an opal stone and a suitcase with clothing inside of it. There is a suspect.
