Police Blotter: Two men arrested in scuffle at Roughrider Days concert

Two Dickinson men were arrested on Thursday, July 3 at the Dickinson State University rodeo arena after event staff removed them from the Roughrider Days concert.

Two Dickinson men were arrested on Thursday, July 3 at the Dickinson State University rodeo arena after event staff removed them from the Roughrider Days concert.

Officers responding to reports of a fight at the arena found Leon Nunn, 41, and Kelly Ensey, 22, being escorted from the event after starting an altercation. One staffer was trying to restrain Nunn, who allegedly made threats to police. Nunn started a fight with one officer, kicking him and trying to put him in a headlock. An officer had to deploy a Taser to subdue Nunn.

Nunn was arrested for simple assault on a police officer, terrorizing, resisting an officer and tumultuous conduct.

Ensey was arrested for tumultuous conduct. Both men were taken into custody at the Southwest Multi-County Correction Center.

Two men arrested after SWAT search

Officers enlisted the Southwest Tactical Team to carry out a search warrant at a residence on the 800 block of Brick Drive on Sunday afternoon.

Dickinson Police had reason to believe Patrick Lohan, a suspect in an armed robbery that took place at a trailer park in June, was at the residence.

Two men at the home, Ryan Taraba and Ray Frederic, were arrested on separate warrants unrelated to the search for Lohan.

Taraba, 31, had a Stark County warrant for a probation violation, and was charged with giving false information to an officer. Frederic, 47, was arrested on a Stark County warrant for failure to comply.

Both men were taken into custody.

Lohan remains at large.

Washington man arrested for domestic violence, terrorizing

A Washington man was arrested in Dickinson on Thursday night after he assaulted a woman he was staying with at the Value Place Hotel.

Christopher Huss, 31, allegedly pushed his female friend to the ground. She was injured, but did not require medical treatment.

Huss was arrested for domestic violence and terrorizing. He was taken into custody at the Southwest Multi-County Correction Center.

 

Brothers arrested on separate charges following fight

Two Dickinson brothers were arrested early morning Friday, July 4 following a fight near the post office downtown.

Brett Biel, 22, called police to report an altercation after he and his brother Clark Biel, 24, got into an argument with two other men. Both men were taken into detox, and Brett Biel was arrested for misuse of a 911 line.

Their father came to the Law Enforcement Center to take Clark Biel out of detox, but the young man refused to leave without his brother. Clark Biel was arrested for disorderly conduct and will have to appear before a judge. Brett Biel later posted bond and was released.

 

Warrant served on Arizona man

Officers served a City of Dickinson warrant on an Arizona man Friday morning after responding to reports of a suspicious person throwing bottles under a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.

David Self, 31, of Tucson, Ariz., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on criminal trespassing charges.

 

Dickinson man arrested for misuse of 911

Officers arrested a Dickinson man for misuse of a 911 call Friday night.

Daniel Main, 47, was seen sitting in his vehicle in front of the Travel Inn motel when officers made contact.

Main later called 911 to say he wanted his ID back, even though officers had already returned it to him, and began swearing at the dispatcher. He was cited for harassment.

 

Man found in backyard arrested on unrelated warrant

Officer responding to reports of a suspicious male walking in the backyard of a residence on the 300 block of Ninth Street East on Saturday night arrested a man on a municipal warrant.

Lynn Kohler, 45, of Dickinson, had been wanted for failure to comply on a DUI. He was taken into custody.

 

Dickinson man charged with simple assault on girlfriend

A Dickinson man was arrested for domestic violence Saturday night after a fight with his girlfriend.

Officers were called to a residence on the 200 block of Seventh Street Southwest, where they arrested James Duran, 21.

Duran is being charged with simple assault. His girlfriend did not require medical attention.
