WESTBURY, N.Y. (AP) -- Police say a suburban New York man doused his friend in alcohol and set him on fire after an argument broke out during a night of drinking.

Police say 24-year-old Epigmenio (eh-peeg-MEH'-nee-oh) Garcia poured tequila on his friend and set him on fire after he refused to leave Epigmenio's Westbury home early Sunday.

The victim suffered second-degree burns to his face, ears, neck and hands. Police say he is in stable condition at a hospital

Garcia, an unemployed landscaper, was arraigned Monday on charges of assault and possession of weapons -- the tequila and the lighter.

The Nassau County district attorney's office says Garcia was ordered held on $400,000 bond. His lawyer's name was not immediately available.
