Mark Hanson, a spokesman for Montana Dakota Utilities, said Dickinson residents living in the northwest part of town lost power for about an hour Wednesday evening do to an equipment failure at a substation.
He did not know how many customers the outage affected.
Roughrider Electric could not be reached.
The Dickinson Press offices were affected by the power outage.
