BISMARCK (AP) -- Mor-Gran-Sou Electric Cooperative says about 160 linemen from across North Dakota and from other states were brought in to restore power throughout south central North Dakota on Monday.
The co-op estimates that more than 2,000 of its customers remain without electricity after last Friday's snow storm that toppled power lines and poles.
Spokesman Don Franklund says some people might remain in the dark for weeks, but the co-op hopes to get a lot of people back online in the next four or five days.
Capital Electric Cooperative says it hopes to restore power to all of its customers by the end of the week. That co-op had several hundred people without power after the storm.
Verendrye Electric Co-op in north central North Dakota had about 300 locations without power, but most had electricity restored over the weekend.
