North Dakota paleontologists have thousands of fossils for research and education

The North Dakota Geological Survey, the only state-funded paleontology group, works hours upon hours to clean fossils and understand their importance and spends time in the field each summer doing public fossil digs. Recently, they completed digs in the Dickinson and Medora areas.

The Pet Education Project, also known as PEP, brought its national tour to Dickinson on Tuesday morning. Around 30 kids of all ages gathered at the Dickinson Area Public Library for the group's PEP Rally!, where they learned about how to take care of animals in various ways.
