Regina Mary Jacobs went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009 in Billings, Mont. surrounded by her family and friends. She fought a courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Regina was the daughter of Mary Ann and Vince Pachl of South Heart, one of 15 children.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim of 47 years; brothers: Tony, Arnold, Donny; sister Margaret; infant son Marion; and infant great-granddaughter Ella.
She is survived by siblings: Ted Pachl, Joe Pachl, Leo (Eleanor) Pachl, Richard Pachl, Cel Nobas, Lavern (Ken) Kraske, Irene Klinger, Ernie Pachl, Tillie Klym, Ellie Weller; daughter, Mary Kay (Steve) Brazer; grandchildren: Melissa (Nate) Jacobs, Jason Grafft, seven Godchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
At an early age Regina went to Great Falls, Mont. in search of employment, then on to Billings where she met the love of her life, Jim Jacobs. After their marriage Jim and Regina had several small businesses, during which time Jim was also working for the U.S. Post Office. She worked for Billings Rex Laundry, Dairy Queen, School District 2, Muzzle Loader Café and several seasonal and temporary jobs.
Regina still found time to raise a daughter, and spoil her two grandchildren. She loved western music. Regina and Jim won many dance contests. In addition she found time to be an active member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, Catholic Daughters, and a life member of the Elks Lodge. Hobbies Regina enjoyed were making silk floral arrangements, cooking, gardening, bowling, shopping, watching the Billings Mustangs, traveling the United States and Canada and taking many cruises.

Regina was an active and devout member of Little Flower Catholic Church, assisted with various church duties, serving as a Eucharist Minister.
Regina spent the last two years of her life with a very special friend Ed Ecker of Bullhead City, Ariz. who was also her caregiver during her illness. Regina's family would like to thank Dr. Benjamin Marchello, Dr. David Christianson and the staff of St. Vincent Cancer Center and Hospital, RiverStone Hospice, Little Flower Church, Father Paul and the congregation for their prayers and support; and a special thank you to Dahl Funeral Chapel for their care and support.
Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend, we love you, and you will truly be missed.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Vigil Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Dahl Chapel.
