Richardton man's status is unknown after accident

A Richardton man was injured in an automobile accident after he rolled his vehicle during a sideswipe meeting along County Road 10 in Dickinson Tuesday evening.

A Richardton man was injured in an automobile accident after he rolled his vehicle during a sideswipe meeting along County Road 10 in Dickinson Tuesday evening.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol stated Cheri Brentrup, 43, New England, was making a left turn at the Interstate 94 exit 64 off-ramp to go west onto County Road 10 into Dickinson.

Robert Pedeliski, 45, Richardton, was traveling east on County Road 10. The vehicles sideswiped, which caused Pedeliski's vehicle to go out of control and enter the north ditch.

Pedeliski's vehicle rolled one time and came to rest on its wheels in the north ditch facing west. Pedeliski was ejected from the vehicle as he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Brentrup's vehicle came to rest on the right shoulder of County Road 10 facing northwest. She was wearing a seatbelt.

Road conditions during the accident were good and weather conditions were clear.

Pedeliski's pickup received $20,000 in damages, while Brentrup's Grand Prix sustained $4,000 in damages.

The accident report stated Pedeliski is charged with driving under the influence.

Pedeliski was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. He was later transported to St Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. No further information was available.

The crash remains under investigation. The agencies involved were the Dickinson Police Department, the Stark County Sheriff's Office, the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the Dickinson Rural Fire and Rescue and the Dickinson Ambulance Service.
