SILVER BAY, Minn. -- Dickinson High rallied from a three-goal deficit against the St. Paul (Minn.) Saints on Thursday in the opening round of the Silver Bay Tournament, but came up short in the end.
Cole Frenzel scored two goals, but Derek Leier's second goal of the game with 11:34 left in the third period put the Saints over the top and sealed a 5-4 win.
Frenzel added a goal late, but Dickinson couldn't tie the game down the stretch.
John O'Brien and Tyler Swenson also scored goals for the Midgets.
Sam Wilczyk had two first-period goals for the Saints. Brian Morissey scored a second-period goal and had two assists.

The Midgets went with backup goaltender Joel Otto, who had 26 saves. Matt Anderson had 27 saves for the Saints.
